Installation cost is based on ceiling height

• Up to 8ft ceiling height .......$125
• Up to 10ft ceiling height .....$150
• Up to 12ft ceiling height .....$200
• Up to 14ft ceiling height .....$250
• Over 14ft ceiling height ..... Contact me for pricing
• A discount of 10% will be applied to any installation of 3 or more fans.

*Please Note: Install price may change depending on your installation. All installations are for replacement only. Wiring and necessary outlets must be present and functioning properly. All pricing is estimated based on the actual work performed. Pricing is for labor only, customer is responsible for all material costs.

What My Standard Installation Includes

• Unpacking and inspection of the new or used fan to verify that all parts are present and that everything appears to be in good working condition. Any fan (new or used) that is correctly installed and later discovered to not function properly will still be billed according to my price guide.
• Takedown of existing ceiling fan or light fixture (up to the installation height purchased).
• Testing of existing wiring and switch(s) for proper functionality, also checking junction box to ensure that it is fan rated. This is only to assess that the switch(s) are functionial and that hot, neutral, and ground wires are correct and not reversed.  Note: not all boxes will indicate if it is rated or acceptable for fan use.
• Assembly of fan and fan light kit according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Used fans that require assembly will also be included.
• Installation and wiring of the fixture to an existing, properly wired electrical box.
• Installation of a down rod extension (if necessary) and replacement of a wall switch if required for specific fan operation. (i.e. product specific switch usually included with the fan)
• Balancing of fan blades
• Testing of the fixture to ensure proper operation
• Cleanup of the job site with on-site disposal in a trash bag or bin.
• One year warranty on all labor. Material warranted according to the manufacturer.
  

Services That May Incur an Additional Charge

• Furniture/ object moving. Price $15 per 15 minutes of labor.
• I will pick up and deliver up to 3 fans from a local supplier (approx. 10-minute drive) at no additional cost. Additional fans or drive time will be extra. Price starting at $10.
• Pricing is based on existing wiring and switch(s) that are properly rated and functioning. New circuits or additional wiring will be extra. Price TBD.
• Upgrading a non-ceiling fan rated box or installing a reinforcing kit. Price starts at $75
• Replacing an existing light switch with a new switch or dimmer. Price $15
• Off-site disposal of fan. Price $10 each.
• Electrical troubleshooting of existing wiring. Price is $30 per 30 minutes of labor.
• Any additional labor not listed or unforeseen. Price is $30 per 30 minutes of labor.
• In the event that there are missing or damaged parts, any time spent shopping or repairing will be billed at $30 per 30 minutes. If for any reason the total labor completed for the visit is less than my $100 minimum (due to no fault of my own), an adjusted trip charge will be assessed to cover my minimum.

How to Prepare for My Visit

• Ensure the work area is accessible and clear of all debris. I will move small furniture if necessary at an additional cost, but as I work alone, please let me know if there will be larger or heavy items that I cannot move safely on my own so that I can bring additional help.  You are welcome and encouraged to assist me if you are able to keep your costs down. Please contact me directly to discuss pricing for additional labor assistance and so that I can retain a laborer for that day.
• An adult 18 or older with authority to make decisions must be present through the entire installation.  If you no one will be available, please contact me as I will be happy to reschedule.
• If your fan is being delivered by someone other than me, please do not schedule the installation for the day of its scheduled delivery. Should the delivery not arrive when expected, please try to contact me to reschedule at least 24 hours prior to our appointment or by the evening before. You may wish to open the box and do your own inventory/assessment of the parts to save on any unforeseen problems or additional expenses.
• Please keep pets and children clear of the job site.  I cannot be responsible for their safety.
