Yes, I am fully licensed and insured to provide handyman services in Michigan.

I offer a variety of residential and commercial repairs and improvements including electrical, carpentry, and plumbing. I also perform hard-to-hire services such as furniture, Ikea, and swing set assemblies, even projects that require proficiencies in multiple trades to complete.

 I flat fee most installation projects such as ceiling fans, interior or exterior door installations, new plumbing fixtures, and similar projects that would be considered standard from one home to another or where it is not necessary to see the project to bid it. (See My Flat Rate Pricing) For smaller projects such as drywall repairs, furniture assembly, sticking doors, electrical diagnosing, or any other project where total completion time cannot be estimated I prefer to work on an hourly basis. My hourly rate is $100 for the first hour, which is my minimum on any project, and then $30 for each additional 30 minutes of labor. I am always willing to start most projects on an hourly rate basis and then offer a flat rated fee once I see the project firsthand. Larger remodeling projects such as kitchens, baths, decks, or basements require an on-site visit before I can provide an estimate. Please note that with fuel costs rising, I do require a $50 fee for this service which is 100% refundable should you hire me for all, or a reasonable portion, of the project that is estimated. Think of it as a deposit on my labor.

Yes, I offer a satisfaction guarantee for all of my work. If you are not satisfied with the results, I will make it right.

I operate by appointment only. I am available 7 days a week 8am - 8pm. I normally accept appointments twice a day starting at 10am and then again at 2pm 7 days a week, but will gladly adjust my schedule to accommodate yours. Any appointment outside of normal business hours will be considered an after-hours or emergency visit and possibly subject to an additional fee. TBD

I am also available for emergency repairs around the clock.

I prefer cash, but for added convenience, I also accept credit/debit cards, Zelle, Venmo, Paypal, and other similar forms of wireless payments. Any payment involving a processing fee will be charged back to the customer (usually less than $5). I no longer accept personal checks, business checks only.

My service area is southeastern Michigan. I do not service Canada. I service the following counties: Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Washtenaw. I do service some areas outside of these counties, especially if you are willing to include a small trip charge as I understand how difficult it is to find a reliable contractor in some rural areas. Please contact me if you live outside of my service area to see if I am able to accommodate you.

I am always eager to help out as much as my customer requires and I welcome add on projects during any service call. As far as billing is concerned, I would charge the rate for the fan $125, and then I would bill any additional labor at the rate of $30 for each additional 30 minutes. The $100 first hour fee does not apply in this scenario as my minimum project fee was satisfied with the flat rated project so any labor afterward is $30 for 30 minutes.
